Executive Coaching

Executive Coaching provides personalized learning and strategic assistance for busy leaders. Coaching is used to address immediate tactical and long-term strategic issues. The results produced from coaching are observable, measurable, and meaningful both to the individual and the organization. Executives in a recent survey of Fortune 1000 companies cited an average return on investment of approximately six times the cost of the coaching.

The Coach is not a consultant in the traditional sense. Instead, the coach relates to the leader as a partner, not as the expert. The coach and leader together choose the focus, format, and desired outcomes for their work.

While we are all familiar with the concept of performance coaching, Executive Coaching is typically not intended for those with performance problems. Rather, leaders and organizations now hire coaches to assist them in reaching higher goals and levels of performance. It is often used at times of change in the organization or responsibilities or during a time when the leader needs new resources to deal with recurring obstacles. While each coaching engagement is unique, some typical outcomes of coaching include:

  • Enhanced focus on goals and strategic priorities and aligning the organization with these priorities.
  • Addressing challenges or obstacles preventing movement toward key business results.
  • Enhanced management team collaboration and cooperation.
  • Clarity of vision for self as a leader and the organization; and, enhanced ability to lead from this vision.Improved work management and delegation.
  • Improved communication up, down, and laterally.
  • Enhanced partnering and influence; and enhanced cooperation among key organizational members.
